Dear Cougar families,

On behalf of the entire Chalmers Street PS team, we would like to thank you for another wonderful year. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time with your child, and it brings us great joy to watch them learn and grow. Thank you for your continued partnership.

It really does take an entire team effort to meet the needs of the whole child.

We would also like to thank you for your commitment and engagement in your child’s learning journey. So many of you have been involved in various capacities this year and your participation, initiative and leadership has positively impacted the experiences that are available within our school. We commend you for your volunteerism, involvement on field trips, and the time and energy you have given to special events and activities. These opportunities are cherished by our students and shape the memories they will reflect upon in thinking about their time as a Cougar.

Looking ahead to next year, we encourage you to either stay involved or get more involved in everything that Chalmers has to offer. Volunteering in one of our classrooms, reading with a child, joining School Council, or becoming a lunchroom supervisor are just a few of the ways that you can make a positive difference.

We want your involvement, and we want you to feel a sense of community and connectedness to our school. Our school: we all have a role and can bring great value. Please call the school if you’re interested in getting involved. We hope to hear from you!

With the school year coming to an end for our students on Thursday, it’s also the time of year where we have to say “good bye and good luck” to staff members who are moving on to exciting new experiences in the fall. We would like to thank the following staff members for their commitment to student success and well-being during their time at Chalmers, and we wish them nothing but the best moving forward:

We would also like to wish Mrs. Little an extra special congratulations and acknowledge the impact she has had on the lives of so many students, staff and families during her time at Chalmers. Mrs. Little, you will be greatly missed, and we wish you a truly enjoyable retirement.

We are also excited to welcome the following educators who will be joining the Chalmers team in September: Ms. Hankins (Grade 4/5), Ms. Hume (Designated Early Childhood Educator), Ms. Gray (Designated Early Childhood Educator) and Ms. Girard (Designated Early Childhood Educator).
