This year Halloween falls on a Saturday and traditionally we have had a variety of events at the school reflecting this day. Since it is on a Saturday, as a staff, we have chosen to have a parade, at the school, at 9:50 a.m. in the morning on Friday. Families have the opportunity to send their children dressed in their outfits and then they can change out of their outfits once the parade has concluded. As always we ask that students refrain from bringing any sort of prop to school that may pose a hazard to students. Knives, swords, guns, and anything that resembles or can be perceived as a weapon are not to be sent to school and are to be kept home.
You may also be considering sending treats to school for your child’s class. Because of a number of severe allergies to a variety of food items we ask that any treats be prepackaged and be produced in a nut-free facility. We encourage everyone to consider healthy snacks or snack alternatives. Although we appreciate the opportunity to celebrate, safety is of the utmost importance at our school and we certainly do not want anyone’s health to be placed in jeopardy.
We greatly appreciate your attention to this and your support of Chalmers Street P.S.
